The day I found out I was pregnant with you was quite a day we will always remember. I remember taking the test and seeing a positive line and my hands just shaking uncontrollably. I came out of the bathroom and showed your dad and he started screaming "Oh my god!! oh my God!" and we just started crying and laughing at the same time!! haha.. I'm sure the neighbors could hear us. But we didn't care... it was just simply the happiest moment. And we knew from that point, our lives would change forever!
Being pregnant for the first time was an incredible experience. Not knowing what to expect, you can imagine how sometimes it was hard not to worry about every little thing. You read so many different experiences and when it comes to your time, you can't help but wonder if you will experience the same symptoms etc. But I can honestly say, being pregnant with you Mattie was a breeze! You treated me soooo amazing the whole time. Yes I felt the extreme exhaustion during but hey I will take that over the morning sickness over anything.
Here are pictures of you as you grew inside mommy's belly....
Your first picture <3 yup that speck you see bottom right is youuuu! You were 6 weeks old here...
8 weeks and this is when we heard your heartbeat for the first time. One word... MAGICAL! Hearing your heart beat is definitely the sweetest sound my ears ever witnessed in my entire life!!
14 week belly <3
19 weeks...you weigh about 11 oz here.
Laura (my best friend... I'll tell you about her in a future post) made me this because we found out your gender right before Christmas. We didn't want to know at our dr appt because we wanted to open it Christmas Day to let us know what you were going to be.
Ahhhhhhh... Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no better feeling than the movement of life inside you.
For Valentine's Day 2012 we decided to go do a 3d ultrasound so we can take a closer look at you. We could see your actual face! These things are incredible! Technology just blows my mind. I can't imagine living back in the day when these things weren't invented. People had to actually wait for birth to see if they were having a boy or girl. Whaaaaaa?? Insane right? I can't imagine by the time you are older how advanced technology will be! I'm sure it'll be awesome!
27 weeks
I even took you to the Houston Rodeo that year to see Brad Paisley. Do you remember any of it?? =P It was St Patrick's day so naturally I had to find a St Pattys day shirt... Haha do you like it?? (Refer to the movie Hangover to understand this shirt)
Your aunties Laura & Ashley <3
