Once upon a time, there was a princess... ha! jk... ok I'm going to TRY to make this as short as possible. TRY being the keyword. Plus I'm sure we will talk about this subject in person anyway, but just wanted to give a lil summary for the good ol blog.
So your dad and I met through the help of my neighbor at the time. Actually funny thing is that your dad was at your Tia Cecy's wedding without even knowing that he was going to be part of the Ortega family years down the road. He went as my neighbors guest and you can actually see him in the video dancing around and me literally dancing almost near him. You'll have to get your Tia to show you her video one day :) Ernest stopped me in the reception lobby and said he wanted to dance with me but I just smiled and was like "yea okay." I was with someone at the time. So I didn't even pay much attention to his request. Fast forward a couple years to the year 2005 and I go out with my neighbor to a dance club and at the end of the night I asked for him. I was single now so it was ok right? hehe... needless to say that night my neighbor calls him up and Ernest remembers me. He comes to pick me up and ended up hanging out that night.
We start officially dating soon after. We had lots of fun times with many memories. Like family functions, road trips, holidays, etc. Your dad and I are so different in many ways yet its ok. That's what drew me to him. I knew that we would butt heads every once in a while. Who doesn't right? You will learn that when you start a relationship. But at the end of it all, you both know that you just can't live without each other.
Here's just a couple of pictures I just picked out randomly from our dating life. One from a road trip to Mexico and the other two are from a trip to Las Vegas.
Feb 2007 for Valentines day your dad took me to Churrascos.. my most favoritest restaurant ever!!! Even to this day, I'm sitting here salivating just thinking about it. And then he gets down on one knee and pops the question. And of course I say yes. Let the wedding planning begin. We were crazy to have a short engagement too. We chose to get married that same year in December.. whaaaaaat?!? How crazy is that?? But we did it and it was a special moment to remember always.

Dec 8, 2007 ♥ .... we say our I Do's... dun dun duuuuuun...
He took me to Hawaii for our honeymoon... ohhhh it was simply beautiful and relaxing!!! This deserves its own post.
From the moment we said our I do's, that's when our family began. So many stories after this day. Don't ever think that relationships are always sunshine. We all go through a few storms but at the end of it, you appreciate surviving those particular storms... TOGETHER.

2012 ♥ The year we become parents. The most amazing role we could ever hold. God made us YOUR parents and we couldn't be more grateful to Him. You two are our greatest adventure. We have loved and will continue to love you both more than we'll ever love ourselves. We hope you will never ever ever doubt that. We will protect you always and will be your biggest cheerleaders in life to whatever goal you choose to endeavor. Just as a marriage, no parent/ child relationship is perfect but you better believe that we will give it our all to provide for you and offer you our unconditional love. No matter what storms we go through my loves, we are FAMILY and we will survive them together.
You two are the BEST things that's ever happened to us.
